Quant Developer / Data Engineer
The Great Lakes Advisors Disciplined Equity (“DE”) investment team is seeking a quant developer / data engineer to complement our core, collaborative development efforts. Using our adaptive methods and risk management, we seek to consistently add value for client portfolios. We also deliver customized solutions to address clients' individual tax needs and/or personal values, including ESG integration, positive social impact, and climate change solutions.

What You'll Do


  • Production support, including managing & developing data processes

  • New platform development including reporting and visualization

Qualifications


  • Technical Degree in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Information Services / Information, Technology, Data Science / Analytics, Research Disciplines such as Physics, Math, or Astronomy

  • Strong technical developer background (academic or on-the-job)

  • Scripting in one of the following object-oriented or functional languages, Python, R, or C++

  • Strong SQL skills, (including data management, architecture support, and development)

  • Preferably experienced in Tableau or other visualization software

  • Inspired by open-source

  • Experience with source control

  • Interest in the financial industry
