Manager, Research Insights Generation and Visualization, Marketing Analytics & Insights

Prudential Marketing has a vision to create a customer-obsessed, marketing powerhouse that is built on a culture of creativity, driven by insights, data, and analytics.  To help bring this vision to life, we are looking for Research Insights Generation and Visualization manager to join the Insights and Marketing Analytics team help our business partners achieve their goals with curated, succinct insights and empirically informed decisions.  This role reports to the Director, Insights and Marketing Analytics, which is part of the Customer & Digital Team within the centralized Marketing organization. 

Position Overview

Marketing Analytics and Insights is a strategic advisor to Prudential’s domestic and international businesses, driving decisions that help them achieve their key performance goals and inspire forward looking innovation.  Our mission is to inform decision-making using data-driven insights grounded in strategic business acumen and a deep understanding of macro trends, needs and behaviors. ​ 

Our team is fast moving, high performing, and grounded in strong research competencies with backgrounds in financial services. The Research Insights Generation and Visualization Manager will act as a subject matter expert on generating, communicating, and visualizing research insights and implications – and proactively serve as a trusted advisor to the Marketing Analytics and Insights team on “cutting edge” and most effective techniques and tactics to effectively translate research results into findings, insights, and a full story in both narrative and visual presentation formats.

Specific responsibilities include:



  • Insights collection, development, and management

    • Regularly review external sources of B2C and B2B information, data, and insights, e.g., secondary research, syndicated studies, articles

    • Develop meaningful, actionable insights via analysis and synthesis of multiple external data sources

    • Optimize internal consumption and socialization of reports and findings via development and curation of ready-friendly, snackable visually appealing insight deliverables

    • Manage assigned portions of online knowledge repository




  • Data management and analysis 
    • Manage internal databases and data analytics tools to identify and extract pertinent data sets for use by department and internal business unit partners



  • Primary research execution/support
    • Provide support to internal primary research projects, including questionnaire writing, survey programming/testing, sampling strategy/execution, data analysis, report writing and more


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, advanced degree a plus.

  • Financial Services industry experience required.

  • 7+ years of work experience in market research, competitive intelligence or trends analysis strongly preferred. 

  • Experience with databases, data analytics platforms (e.g., Q, SPSS) preferred.

  • Primary research experience preferred.

  • Working knowledge of knowledge management technologies/ platforms preferred.

  • Adept at working with quantitative and qualitative data and translating data into impactful insights, integrating different data sources.

  • Excellent writer and storyteller with a demonstrated ability to deliver actionable insights succinctly, in a compelling eye-catching and engaging way.

  • Using Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other tools to create and produce results synthesis/summary and presentation content that engages the audience and promotes dialogue and collaboration between research team and business partners.

  • Superb inductive reasoning ability, with exceptional critical thinking, pattern recognition skills and detail orientation.

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • A learner with an inquisitive nature and a thirst for knowledge.

  • A collaborative team player who learns quickly and can act independently.

*Note: Prudential is required by Colorado law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Colorado resident. Salary range specific to Colorado: $113,400-$153,400 + discretionary incentive bonus + benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
