An opportunity is available within Prudential’s Internal Audit Department for an experienced auditor to manage Compliance and Operational Risk Management audit coverage within the Prudential U.S. Businesses.  This is a position that provides the opportunity to assist in implementing the audit plan covering the activities of the law, compliance, and business ethics (LCBE) units and Operational Risk Management (ORM) framework and programs.  The successful candidate will manage multiple audits and audit teams and will be responsible for assisting in maintaining relationships with the key business partners. 
This successful candidate will be responsible for: 

·       Assisting in the execution of the annual audit plan related to certain risk areas.

·       Providing coaching and guidance to the audit teams while participating  in audit projects under the agile audit methodology.

·       Leveraging data analytics and test automation in support of dynamic risk assessment and audit design & execution.

·       Managing audit engagements by leveraging agile methodologies.

·       Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with staff as well as key business partners in the businesses and related functions to facilitate the execution of the audit plan as well as the sharing of observations, information, and ideas.

·       Partnering with audit teams across the globe to achieve consistent, coordinated, coverage of compliance and operational related risks and controls.

·       Prepare audit scope, program, and audit approach for each audit assignment

·       Remaining current with industry views regulatory compliance topics (e.g., AML, ABC, COI) and operational risk management frameworks (e.g., vendor).

·       Utilizing shared resources including co-sourcing in a matrix working environment. 

The successful candidate must possess a high level of executive presence and energy and be highly collaborative. Other qualifications include:

·       Detail oriented individual who can guide the team in the daily execution of our audits, while ensuring adherence to the methodology.

·       Understanding of second line related risks and prior experience in working with Corporate functions.

·       Highly motivated, proactive, critical thinker who can take a leadership role in a wide variety of assignments and be able to work independently with minimum supervision at times.

·       Strong communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to partner effectively with multiple business groups, corporate areas, and other audit teams in the department.

·       Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or other of study required; CPA, CIA, CFE, or MBA is highly desired.  

7 years of relevant audit experience, preferably within the financial services industry. This position is based in Newark, NJ however we are open to this position being remote for the right candidate. Additionally, the successful candidate can expect to travel to business locations within the U.S. Travel not expected to exceed 10%.
