The Role

AMERGINT’S engineering team is looking for a SW Test Engineer with 2-4 years of experience in the industry.  The position will support integrated teams by carrying out test development engineering activities utilizing Python programming in a Linux environment in accordance with AMERGINT standards and practices. This position is based in Colorado Springs, CO.

In this role, you will support integrated teams by carrying out test development engineering activities in accordance with AMERGINT standards and practices.  You will be working with the design, development and systems engineers to plan tests, ensuring the tests are designed to verify the pertinent requirements. You will be working with automated test tools which are Python based to ensure the products meet the specified design in a Linux environment. You will be supporting and/or leading Test Readiness Reviews and Factory Acceptance Tests and developing test methods to efficiently complete integrated system testing and customer acceptance.  You will be supporting development testing to reduce project risk, by developing procedures and software automation that will be used in test and verification operations.  You will be developing, configuration managing and maintaining test assets.  You will be responsible for writing test procedures and managing procedural redlines and updates.

 

Required Skills:


  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline

  • 2-4 years of current technical hands-on experience in:


  • Experience developing Python programs

  • Experience with Linux and other Unix-style operating systems

  • Experience developing and updating test procedures

  • Experience with Automated Test tools and scripting

  • Strong technical writing and communication skills

  • A proven track record of working successfully in multiple disciplines

Preferred Skills:


  • 2+ years of current technical hands-on experience testing or operating in at least one of the following disciplines:

    • Satellite ground operations

    • RF systems



  • Experience using test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, etc.

  • System mindset and aptitude

  • Experience with test teams as a Test Conductor or Test Engineer

  • Experience in system engineering practices formal or informal

  • Experience with Rest APIs

  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships
