Responsibilities:

Generate and originate quality residential mortgage loans for low to moderate income borrowers in the Bank’s North East Ohio market in order to help Third Federal Savings serve the housing credit needs of the communities it serves.

Establish, participate and maintain relationships with community-based, charitable and non-profit organizations within our market area ensuring that all partners are aware of the products and services offered by Third Federal, while sharing our philosophy and values within the community.

Develop and maintain good working relationships with bank branches, real estate professionals, builders, community-based organizations, local housing agencies, Third Federal HomeToday counseling partners, etc. to build a pipeline of referral sources.

Act as a representative of Third Federal Savings in the community by attending community meetings/events, providing training/seminars to potential customers regarding loan application processes, mortgage loan products and services.

Interview and counsel loan applicants on mortgage financing, choosing a program best suited to their needs; complete mortgage application, follow through to closing and resolve any issues, while ensuring exceptional customer service and documentation.

Maintain relationships and contact with the real estate professionals, community partners and referral sources on a regular and consistent basis.  Documenting all calling activities made into the Contact Management system.

Participate in special CDS and CRA projects and initiatives as assigned.

Work closely with branch management to educate associates on CRA programs and loan products.  Support branch network by assisting with lead follow-up and loan applications. Schedule and attend branch meetings to encourage branch associates understanding and involvement in CRA eligible activities. 

Attend regularly scheduled Business Development (BDR) and Community Development meetings, sharing CRA activities and educating other BDR’s on Community Development initiatives. 

Requirements:

Qualifications/Skills:


  • 2-3 years of recent experience originating Residential Mortgage loans in Low to Moderate Income areas.

  • Excellent communications and customer service skills

  • Customer service orientation in a face to face environment

  • Experience using Mortgage software applications

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment

  • Demonstrated ability to lead public group sessions or meetings

  • Understands organization, culture, business, products and services

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Current NMLS designation

  • Working knowledge of various community down payment assistance programs

  • Must have well established Realtor network and Community relationships

  • High School Diploma or GED
