Job Summary

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Corporate FP&A, this position leads the Corporate FP&A team providing decision and analytical support to USG’s business leaders.  This role will be responsible for managing a diverse team and implementing management reporting, business analytics, forecasting, and business planning.  In addition to leading the Corporate FP&A team, this individual will have key relationships with Accounting, Treasury, HR, and other corporate functions.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be a leader within the Corporate FP&A team.  An organized individual focused on process improvement, teamwork, communication, and delivering results is necessary.  Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Participate in monthly closing of USG consolidated financial results.


• Provide mid-month snapshots and supplemental reporting to various teams.


• Spearhead the annual budget and periodic forecasting processes.


• Collaborate across all functions to budget, forecast, and report on departmental spend including headcount statistics. 


• Prepare financial summaries and analyses for USG’s Board of Directors.


• Coordinate with others within FP&A on the preparation and submission of monthly and periodic reporting to Gebr. Knauf KG, USG’s parent company.

• At least 7 years of experience in finance and/or accounting is required, in roles of increasing complexity and responsibility.


• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate financial results in clear and concise manner.


• Solid academic credentials, including a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA and/or CPA is preferred but not required.


• Experience managing and building strong teams.


• Experience with Hyperion Planning and Oracle preferred.


• Demonstrates high level of integrity and ethics.


• Strong verbal and written communication skills.


• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to motivate teams to produce quality results within tight timeframes.
