We are looking for a full-time Media Marketing Specialist for our headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area.

We are looking for a full-time Media Marketing Specialist for our headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area.  In this role, you will be responsible for managing the media planning, buying, and execution across media outlets.  Other essential functions include:


  • Develop, build, buy, implement and manage media marketing campaigns across media outlets, ie: digital, social, print, out of home and TV

  • Identify and recommend the media mix that would be the most effective in achieving marketing goals

  • Possess strong negotiation skills to ensure best rates are achieved for media buys

  • Work with internal marketing stakeholders to ensure campaign assets are ready to be launched on time with partners

  • Manage relationships with media partners to ensure programs are properly executed

  • Maintain advertising budgets and ensuring that all buys remain within budget

  • Establish performance benchmarks and KPIs for all campaigns

  • Work directly with internal clients to understand business segment goals/objectives 

  • Create and implement new strategies

  • Compile secondary research in support of media opportunities

  • Research and analyze competitive landscape

  • Collaborate with marketing team members to understand and report on how all our advertising efforts are working together

Qualifications

Qualified candidates possess a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, advertising, communication, journalism or another field relevant for performing the essential functions of this role.  Other requirements include:


  • Minimum of 3 years digital, social, print, TV, and/or out of home media buying experience

  • Experience with advertising

  • Previous experience with managing multiple campaigns with substantial monthly budgets

  • Previous experience building presentation materials and presenting a plan to management

  • Demonstrates proficient knowledge of media opportunities available

  • Ability to organize, interpret and present various media data

  • Demonstrates mathematical aptitude to ensure accuracy of accounting documents and media schedules

  • Demonstrates proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs including PowerPoint and Excel 

  • Must be detailed-oriented and can work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment 

  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others

  • Demonstrates excellent time management and follow-up skills with proven success in meeting deadlines 

Experience with advertising on a local, national and international scale is highly preferred.
