JOB SUMMARY: Receives and returns to owner articles lost on property, and keeps records of articles lost, found, and claimed: Inspects articles and telephones or sends letters to owners when identification is known. Tags and places articles in drawers, shelves, racks, or safe, according to type of article and where it was found. Discusses lost articles by telephone or in person and returns articles to owners upon positive identification.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS : Answer routine correspondence including correspondence in writing and in person; maintain records of articles and handle the appropriate documentation as dictated by company policy and supervisor/manager/director instruction; respond to claim administration requests/correspondence; handle all administrative tasks associated with lost and found, assist in administrative tasks assigned by management, with the ability to work on several projects simultaneously; operate office equipment as needed, i.e. computers, telephones, fax machines and copy machines.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required. Six or more months of relevant security experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must possess and be able to maintain the applicable regional Gaming card(s) and/or License(s), if any.

Must have a valid State Drivers License and clean driving record.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to effectively communicate in English. Must be able to read and write simple lists, interoffice memorandums, and business correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
