Electrical Design Engineer

The Electrical Design Engineer designs, develops, modifies and evaluates options and makes complex design recommendations to fulfill requirements. Assesses results for applicability, validity and conformance with design specifications. Performs moderate design and skilled technical tasks.

About the Job:

• Apply innovative design techniques to a solve a variety of engineering challenges under the guidance of senior engineers.




• Write detailed design documentation for use by other electrical engineers, other engineering teams, and external customers. Hold formal and informal design reviews with both peers and mentors as needed.




• Use a variety of tools to analyze and simulate electrical designs, selecting the best tool for the job as needed. Generate schematics using an Altium and perform basic layout tasks.




• Debug hardware in laboratory environment with common lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters




• Collaborate with Manufacturing and other teams as needed to develop high quality, reliable hardware for our customers.

About You:

• BS Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field




• 1-5 years of experience in a design role




• Strong ability to communicate with other engineers, management, and external customers over both written and verbal communication




• Excellent analytical skills and demonstrable knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals.




• Experience using Python or other scripting language.




• Familiarity with at least one schematic capture/layout tool and at least one spice-based simulation tool.
