JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Senior Service Reliability Engineer to join the Resideo Team! We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team supporting an industry-leading network offering to deliver life-safety alarm transport services for over 2 million customers. As an SRE with us, you will work with our support staff to not only participate in this critical customer service offering, but you will have opportunities to work with new technologies to continually improve both our services and our operations methodologies.

Job Duties:

• Hands-on experience working & managing large Kubernetes clusters & docker environments - on-prem or cloud
• In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems, Linux containers, and container orchestration managers
• Hands-on experience with HELM or similar K8S package managers
• Experience with a configuration-management-as-code (preferably ANSIBLE), Infrastructure-as-code (preferably - Terraform)
• Good exposure working with container platforms, especially OpenShift
• Familiarity with messaging services like Kafka, and RabbitMQ is a plus.
• Experience with Linux shell scripting.
• Experience with designing and implementing CI/CD (like Jenkins, Octopus) for large distributed microservices applications.
• Experience using source code management tools GitHub, and BitBucket.
• Hands-on proficiency in Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, and Kibana (ELK) monitoring tools and experience in creating dashboards in Kibana, and Grafana. Experience on Kibana watcher alerts.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar field
• 5-8 years of experience in an SRE or DevOps role, preferably in a hybrid infrastructure environment - traditional data center and cloud platforms
