Job Description:

Design, analyze and document the avionics system functions, architecture and installation for commercial helicopter systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.


  • Work involves analyzing new and existing designs for all components of the helicopter including avionics systems, electrical systems, and their interfaces to the remaining aircraft systems.


  • Reviewing avionics supplier specifications to design and integrate required system interfaces including analog, discrete, and aerospace industry standard digital interfaces.


  • Experience in sound requirements writing practice, with an understanding of requirements decomposition


  • Must have some knowledge of product life cycle from requirements capture through test.


  • Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None


  • Knowledgeable in CAD software a plus

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

  • Ability to write technical reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and internal customers.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Ability to work in a team environment to support engineering goals and objectives.

  • The ability to understand and follow instructions and the ability to concentrate is required.


  • Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Access to Export Control Information.

  • Regular attendance at the worksite.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


  • The desired candidate must be enrolled in an Electrical Engineering Bachelor's degree program from an accredited four-year college or university.


  • Must have completed at least 2 years of an Electrical/Aerospace Engineering program.
