Job Description:

Position Overview:


The Equipment Engineer evaluates, specifies, inspects, maintains, designs, analyzes and improves various types of processing equipments and systems, including electronic and mechanical equipment. They perform testing and complex repairs on existing equipment, as well as overseeing the successful production start-up of new equipment. This position is the primary contact for CVD equipment performance-related questions and concerns.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Create CVD Coating System Design Specifications for next generation systems


  • Support of Project Planning for Installation of CVD, High Temperature and associated Low Pressure related Processing systems


  • Test and approve new equipment before handing off to production


  • Establish and document equipment (component) operational parameters of systems


  • Lead troubleshooting efforts


  • Create extensive equipment preventative maintenance plans.


  • Maintain documentations for equipment installation, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures for reference purposes.


  • Establish spare parts lists and inventory plans


  • Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements


  • Develop cost-reduction initiatives while still maintaining quality and productivity.


  • Provide job assistance and conduct job trainings for maintenance and production employees as needed.




Your Profile:


  • 4-year degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, or equivalent Engineering discipline


  • Minimum 5 years experience in mechanical/electrical machininery design/repair/troubleshooting.


  • Strong knowledge of mechanical process equipment and associated support equipment.


  • Strong mechanical aptitude


  • Proven ability to communicate well in written and verbal communications


  • The ability to solve problems creatively on time


  • Knowing and applying current industry standards and information


  • Soft skills including a positive attitude, flexibility and conflict resolution.


  • Ability to work within a team to achieve successful initiative results


  • Able to work independently and make effective decisions.


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel, Power Point) and SAP.
