LISA Inc. a division of Community Solutions, Inc. is seeking a 2nd shift - Part Time Youth Advocate to join our team in our WISH program in Plainville, CT. As a Youth Advocate you are responsible for working directly and collaboratively with young adults 17-21 to help them develop daily living skills, work through problems and issues, navigate daily living/personal challenges, and coordinate and/or provide transportation when needed. You will support the facilitation of goals set on individual service plans and work closely with all team members to ensure a safe, effective program. Youth Advocates are responsible for documenting daily progress of residents, facilitation of the TIER System and recording events in appropriate log books.
Schedule: 2nd Shift - Monday/Friday: 6pm- 12am Thursday: 8pm-12a Sat/Sun : 6pm- 10pm
Retention Stipend: $500
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include but are not limited to:
Bachelor’s Degree with at least six months of experience or a Bachelor’s degree, or an Associate’s degree plus 2 years’ experience working with youth.
Experience may be substituted for education.
Must be willing to learn and implement strengths based, relational, trauma-informed, gender responsive and culturally competent approaches.
Knowledge of Spanish in oral and written communication is desired.
Valid drivers license.
Covid19 vaccination or an approved exemption with a possible weekly testing requirement
