Senior Manager - Marketing, Student Pipeline Strategy at American Institute of Certified Public Accountants

What You’ll Do:

The core purpose of this role is to develop and lead on the implementation of marketing strategies which drive awareness, engagement, and desire for careers in accounting and finance, building a strong student pipeline into the profession, while delivering revenue and volumetric growth in AICPA & CIMA student membership.

Reporting into the Global Director of B2C Growth, you’ll be a strategic marketer with a strong background in student recruitment within higher education/college or graduate recruitment within a leading firm. You will be extremely familiar and have an emotional connection to high school and college/university student audiences, understanding their behaviours, attitudes, channel preferences and generally what motivates them. Familiarity within the US and UK education market would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities


  • Develop, implement, and continually refine the AICPA & CIMA Student Pipeline strategy which includes planning, prioritizing, and executing against acquisition KPIs

  • Work cross-functionally with our Content, Learning, and technical teams and a marketing delivery squad to create, test, deploy and optimize marketing strategies

  • Gather and develop the insights needed to identify audiences and create market segments, personas and go to market strategies

  • Oversee budgeting and forecasting of media spend and return on investment, managing CAC. You're committed to ensuring the efficiency and impact of the delivery squad

  • Manage the strategy but also support the team with hands-on execution where necessary

  • Own your expertise and lead your marketing squad to become an energetic, fun, high-performing growth focussed team.

Your Experience:


  • Prior experience working for education or ed-tech brands with a proven track record in delivering results - essential

  • Able to direct and prioritise multiple projects in a fast-paced environment - essential

  • A data-driven mindset and strong commercial acumen - essential

  • Prior experience leading a team with an approachable and inclusive style - essential

  • Experience in managing performance marketing budgets, channel mix and optimising ROAS (hands-on campaign experience or in-depth management of agency performance) - essential

  • A willingness to be hands-on as needed - essential

  • A team player able to network and build relationships across the organization - essential

  • Knowledge and experience of agile marketing delivery models - desirable

  • Experience managing or supporting research to identify and define market segments and personas - desirable

  • Experience in the US and UK education sector - desirable

  • Background in growth strategy with an understanding how to balance brand and acquisition - desirable

  • CPA and/or CGMA licenced - highly advantageous
