Description: Our client is currently seeking a 1st Shift Production Supervisor for an outstanding Contract Manufacturer of Hygiene Products.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Provide leadership and direction for day-to-day operations in a manufacturing setting.
Ensure production lines have the appropriate staffing level and lines are running to setup rates to meet or exceed production goals.
Plan daily production activities to meet customer delivery dates.
Monitor production and manpower levels within area of responsibility to ensure continued efficiency while anticipating problems and assisting with developing contingencies to address issues or production needs.
Ensure process compliance and good manufacturing processes (GMPs) are followed.
Ensure a safe workplace for employees by proactively addressing any issues.
Address hazards, deviations and injuries in a timely manner.
Identify and address product quality issues and continually look for ways to improve processes at the plant.
Review and maintain time records for employees. Handle routine personnel issues including training, adherence to company policy, coaching and counseling.
Participate in hiring and training new employees on job expectations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
3-5 years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
High school diploma or GED is required.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to direct and motivate employees.
Knowledge of safety standards and ability to train employees on site safety.
