Job Description:

Role: To create long-lasting relationships and an atmosphere of helping our members through exceptional sales and service. Share in the financial success of our members by providing quality service with fairness and integrity. Deliver outstanding value to both internal and external members as defined by Empowers Value and Belief Statement. A key component of this service is to identify needs and offer solutions at every opportunity. To provide sales and service to our existing and new membership, centered around the Direct Lending Phone Sales. Lending sales and services begin with a member calling into the Credit Union to inquire or apply for one or more of the Credit Unions consumer loan products. Applications will be followed up through telephone calls and/or emails. Advance your knowledge of lending by obtaining; NMLS Registrations, Notary Public, or various eSchool Certifications.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
45% Receives and accurately processes all consumer lending related inquires, primarily through our Direct Lending Phones Sales. Receive and process all consumer lending-related inquiries accurately, primarily over the phone, email or mail.
30% Meets or exceeds sales goals, which may include number of loans, dollar volume, payment protection (life and disability), buyouts, GAP, MRC, member contact rates and various referral options.
10% Refer and cross-sell all credit union products and services.
5% Assist with Sales Department and other Lending Division activities.
5% Achieve and maintains a high level of education and training.
5% All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education: (1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program. NMLS

Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.

Other Skills
1. Working knowledge of regulations relating to all Credit Union deposit and lending products.
2. Must have working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing software; must be able to use a PC and all types of general office equipment.
3. Comply with all credit union/departmental training requirements.
4. Professionalism in appearance, dress and attitude a must.
5. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Occasional travel may be required, including but not limited to working in various branches and/or the call center, SEG visits, training sessions and various staff meetings.
