Job Description:

To support our accelerated growth, we are looking for a highly-motivated, results driven individual who has a passion and proven experience in developing great and engaging content that attracts prospects and converts to product sales and satisfied customers.

The Content Writer (CW) works closely with our digital advertising team (DAT) to develop and improve content on websites, social media platforms, as well as advertising platforms. The CW also works closely with Product Manager (PM) to fully understand all product benefits and market USPs. CW works closely with Customer Service Manager (CSM) to better understand actual customer perspectives and attitudes, etc. The CW reviews Google Analytics in concert with DAT to best understand typical customer demographic for product and ensure appropriate and appealing content.

     Tasks / Responsibilities

                                                                                


  • Work with Product Manager and Channel Mangers, Customer Service to gain insights into products and customers to generate compelling content and highlight product USPs

  • Produce compelling content for online ads, website, website landing pages, email newsletter/special offers and social media  

  • Utilize industry best practices and familiarity with the organization's mission to inspire ideas and content with a sensitivity to appropriate language and claims for personal care/medicinal products

  • Work with Lead Web consultant, in particular, to generate compelling ad and landing page content

  • Monitor and analyze the performance of key performance indicators (KPIs) e.g. via website metrics, Google Analytics, Google Adwords, to offer suggestions for improvement

  • Plan and develop seasonally appropriate content for site and email newsletters. Coordinate publication with DAT members.

  • Identify customers’ information and knowledge needs and potential gaps in our content; recommend/develop new content to address needs/gaps.

  • Define and ensure all-around content consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone)

  • Participate with and contribute to product management and product development meetings

  • Other responsibilities within means and scope of practice to meet position and/or company goals

Years of Experience


  • 2-5 years’ experience in sales for CPG company or retailer

  • Experience with personal care, topical or medicinal products is a plus
     

Education


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, English or related field

  • Or the equivalent through demonstrated previous working experience 

     

Additional Qualifications


  • Demonstrated record of excellent sales copy and landing page content for digital CPG companies to maximize sales conversions

  • Excellent overall written and verbal communication skills with Impeccable grasp of the English language, including idioms and current trends in slang and expressions

  • Self-organized. Self-motivated; Ability to work independent of supervision

  • Team player - Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate with clients, colleagues, and management

  • Ability to work on multiple projects with different objectives simultaneously. Strong time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary

  • Ability to learn about all our products and translate benefits and USPs into compelling content

  • Sensitivity to appropriate claims compliance and ability to ask and learn as needed 

  • Ability to help formalize and adhere to style guide

  • Proficiency with Google Docs and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc




Salary: $54,000.00
