Royal’s Internal Communication Strategist position is a brand-new opportunity within the organization that drives strategic and inclusive internal communication across the entire organization in alignment with our Core Purpose and Values. In this role you will maintain an internal communications calendar, curating content across multiple forms of media and contributors, and collecting and analyzing data to evaluate the success of the plan. This position ensures that internal communications are clear, with consistent and aligned messaging, and engaging to a diverse audience. The Internal Communication Strategist leads strategic internal communication planning, including writing, scheduling, and overseeing Royal’s internal communications deployed through the Portal (intranet) and other channels.

 

Work Schedule:

This is a full time, exempt level position with remote work available if certain criteria are met and after initial onboarding period. Hours will generally be Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00pm with occasional evening and weekend hours as needed.

 

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

• 
  Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, English, related field, or equivalent job experience.
  


• 
  Minimum of five years’ experience in developing and deploying effective communication plans.
  


• 
  Demonstrated experience deploying communication that incorporates text, video, and graphics, through multiple channels (internal portal/intranet, collaboration solutions such as Microsoft Teams, videoconferencing tools, email, and more) and a variety of internal audiences in a business environment. 
  


• 
  Demonstrated experience developing and deploying strategic communication plans, including for change management initiatives, within complex projects, and corporate strategy implementations.
  


• 
  Communicate and live RCU's core purpose and values, these define and drive our organizational culture.
  

 Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:

• 
  Graphic Design Experience
  


• 
  Video production/editing experience
  


• 
  Experience delivering engaging communication to team members who work on-site across multiple locations and/or those that take advantage of full remote and hybrid work options.
