We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to join the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) of the Customer Relations and Support Office (CRSO). The CRSO plays a critical role in the economy by operating FedLine, a nation-wide electronic payments and information delivery network, which has over 10,000 financial institution customers and transacts over 70+ million payments daily, valued at more than $4+ trillion.

The Senior IT Project Manager will have responsibility for the planning and execution of highly complex IT initiatives to advance the customer value of the FedLine platform, products, and other Federal Reserve Bank Services. The FedLine portfolio includes investments in the cloud, secure network, identity, and software solutions to provide increased value to the financial institutions, Federal Reserve business lines, and industry stakeholders we serve.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities


  • Plans, directs, and coordinates Bank and/or System project activities and resources to ensure project goals are completed on time, within budget and with optimum quality

  • Provides management, direction, prioritization, and conflict resolution for project teams to accomplish project objectives

  • Prepares and implements detailed project plans, including definition of scope, requirements, objectives, resource allocation, budget and task schedules and milestones

  • Communicates project goals and results to clients, Bank, and/or System management

  • Ensures ongoing use of and adherence to Federal Reserve policies and practices, including established project management methodologies and Technology Project Standards

  • May provide input on training, development, goal development and guidance to staff; may make hiring recommendations and evaluate performance and/or provide feedback to staff

  • Serves as a thought leader and incorporates broader knowledge of business strategies into project management

  • Consults with business and IT partners to strategize, plan, prioritize and implement needed projects within designated time and budget constraints

  • Partners with National IT development and support providers to coordinate application testing, including selection of testing environment, investigation of testing issues, and approval of code deployments

Your Background


  • External Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree in related technical field or equivalent experience

  • Master’s Degree desirable - Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field preferred

  • 7-10+ years of direct work related experience

  • Project Management certification (i.e. PMI) or equivalent knowledge

  • Demonstrated project and risk management skills including ability to manage multiple priorities, resources, customers, and management with a focus on consistency and accuracy

  • Experience with API Management solutions, Mulesoft experience a plus      

  • Experience working with, and migration to, a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform for business enablement is a plus

  • Experience working with software development or architecture teams and strong understanding of the delivery lifecycle of high availability technical products and services

  • Knowledge of modern web applications, API, and/or user experience In-depth knowledge of project-management software applications and methodologies ( i.e.,SAFe, Agile / Waterfall, JIRA Tool, MS Project)

  • Knowledge of IT Governance and Infrastructure, Application Development Lifecycle, Information Security Infrastructure
