Position Purpose:

The Production Scheduler is responsible for creating and managing production schedules for their assigned business.  This includes close coordination with our mills to ensure production schedules are feasible and meet both customer service and cost goals.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Issue production schedules that support efficient utilization of production machines (assets), materials, and storage capacity


  • Ensure schedules are supportive of meeting our customer service objectives


  • Execute regional production changes in the tactical (0-4 week) horizon


  • Execute material requirement plans to ensure finishing supplies and work in-process availability to support finished goods production


  • Maintain accurate planning information in SAP, updating as needed based on material/product changes


  • Drive completion of special projects as related to supply planning


  • Provide on-call support for the production sites


Team:  KCNA Supply Planning

Key customers/stakeholders include:  Material planners, mid-term production planners, procurement, mill operations, vendor management

Key metrics include:  ATP (Adherence to Plan), Fill Rate, OTIF (On-Time In-Full), Cycle length, Working capital/inventory

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Logistics/Supply Chain or related field


  • 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain/Operations at a site or staff level


  • Experience with SAP (R3 or APO) is preferred


  • Demonstrated ability to organize resources and analyze alternatives to make effective decisions


  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, building trust with others


  • Willingness to challenge the status quo and facilitate different perspectives to drive solutions


  • Exceptional analytical skillset, and Microsoft Excel proficiency
