Position Summary

The IT Quality Assurance Analyst plays an important role in the organization by performing a number of tasks related to the company’s information technology functions. The role is primarily responsible, under general direction, for providing the means and the measures for testing all aspects of company software solutions, both functionally and technically.

Essential Functions


  • Review functional and design specification to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.

  • Identify and analyze test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plans.

  • Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts (test data, data validation, harness scripts, and automated scripts).

  • Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results.

  • Identify potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues.

  • Assist in test solution in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability, and compatibility with other legacy and/or external systems.

  • Assist in ensuring all testing is well defined, planned, and executed; ensure every phase and feature of the software solution is tested and meets design specifications and requirements.

  • Identify all potential issues and ensure that they are corrected before the product goes live.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent, computer-related degree, or similar technical training, along with a minimum of two years total experience in QA role(s) required.

  • Large enterprise or e-business systems experience strongly preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and communication skills required.

  • Self-starter with the demonstrated ability to learn/adapt to new technologies and techniques.

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Highly detail-oriented and organized.

  • Ability to think critically, including the ability to evaluate facts and data to draw conclusions, determine the downstream impact of decisions and associated risks.

  • Ability to solve technical problems and think abstractly.

  • Ethical, with a commitment to company values.

Physical: Work is primarily sedentary; mobility in an office setting.



Manual Dexterity:  Frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.



Audio/Visual: Ability to accurately interpret sounds and associated meanings at a volume consistent with interpersonal conversation. Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret information received visually and through audio; e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media.



Environmental:  Office environment – no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
