Position Summary:
Process Engineers at Kimberly-Clark initiate, design, develop, optimize and problem solve manufacturing processes in a manner that meets safety and performance expectations. The Process Engineer for this role will provide creativity in design, development, optimization and implementation of engineering. Candidates are recognized for understanding the application of technology and the ability to effectively interface with a broad range of team members.
 

Responsibilities:

1) Support product or process improvement projects with a financial scope of up to $10+ million from conception through commercialization.

2) Provide functional guidance in problem-solving and optimization in converting equipment and processes to meet objectives.
3) Develop knowledge and skills in application of engineering principles, scientific analysis, and project management.

4) Carries out all work ensuring effective Safety and Quality attitudes and practices.

5) Seek, recognize, define and solve problems/ opportunities to achieve unit objectives. Identify technical issues to determine root cause. Initiate, design, optimize and develop manufacturing and supporting processes.

6) Supports centerlining practices and methods for project execution and process troubleshooting.

7) Recommends and implements improvements and modifications to existing manufacturing processes to improve product quality and reduce waste and delay.

8) Develops and performs designed experiments and machine trials to gather data and provides analysis to improve and develop manufacturing processes.

9) Supports LEAN principles and leads Kaizen Problem Solving sessions.

10) Documents work to ensure information is retrievable.

11) Manages self in accordance with the expected One K-C Behaviors and Culture of Accountability.

Qualifications:
1) Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Chemical, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Pulp and Paper or other applicable engineering degree from an ABET
accredited college or university and continued self-development.
2) A minimum of 3 years of full-time employment experience as a Process Engineer.

Preferred Qualifications:
1) 4 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
2) Experience using manufacturing analysis tools.
3) Ability to work independently or as part of a team while providing task oriented direction to others in order to complete projects within required time frames.
4) Experience and expertise with Kimberly-Clark engineering procedures and processes.

5) Experience with Lean manufacturing tools
