Sr. Relationship Advisor, Private Bank

Description

The Sr. Private Bank Relationship Advisor supports all aspects of client service for our portfolio of affluent clients and serves as the escalation point for the most complex deposit issues, including, but not limited to: on-boarding; account maintenance including recommending modifications or additions to products or programs; money movement transactions and on-going training or education for SVB products and services.

Primary Responsibilities


  • Gathers and validates all relevant legal documentation to adhere to Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering and other banking regulations,

  • Prepares necessary bank documents and establish client records

  • Updates client account information by providing client support for escalated product or service issues and chaperoning issue to completion.

  • Utilizes knowledge and expertise to resolve moderate to complex issues.

  • Provides guidance, coaching and mentoring to less experienced staff members.

  • Assesses risk related transactions and has discretion and authority within assigned portfolio to assess and manage risk.

  • Builds internal relationships; identifies areas for improvement; and acts as a resource within team and other internal partners.

  • Understands product offerings from other parts of the Bank and acts as conduit between other departments such as commercial banking, consumer banking as well as wealth products.

  • Activity seeks to identify areas to improve efficiency and/or client experience; identifies solution or modification to procedures and collaborates regarding implementation of the solution.

  • Participates in meetings, coaching and other duties or special projects as assigned by management.

  • Works on projects relative to process improvement and analysis.

  • Engages with manager and business partners to proactively identify and mitigate operational risk.

  • Uses a high degree of judgement and discretion in serving the needs of Private Bank clients.

  • Oversees complex account structuring needs to ensure strict compliance to Bank standards while delivering "white glove" service to Private Bank clients.

  • Occasional travel may be required

  • This position requires after hours, weekend and holiday work on a rotational basis. During alt-shifts, incumbents will be required to independently review client issues to autonomously determine appropriate solutions or need for client escalation.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalency plus 6-7 years of related professional experience (banking/financial services industry or customer service) OR 8-10 years of overall experience

  • Bachelor's Degree desired and may be considered as 2-3 years overall experience

  • Excellent analytical skills with aptitude for determining root cause or underlying circumstances and identifying solutions

  • Highly proficient at researching complex issues, determining options that best suit client needs and minimizes risk, and generating recommendations that not only address issues but proactively enhance or improve client outcome.

  • Excellent communication skills - capable of explaining information in a clear and concise manner and adapting delivery depending on the audience, and influencing decisions in the best interest of the client

  • Professional, thorough and organized with strong follow-up skills

  • Excels in a team environment and proactively collaborates and acts as a leader with others to serve clients

  • Demonstrates initiative, a commitment to continuous learning, and the ability to adapt to changing demands and requirements
