With a corporate mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™, Arthrex has pioneered the field of arthroscopy and develops more than 1,000 innovative products and procedures each year that support all aspects of orthopedics. The Design to Manufacturing Supplier Quality Engineering team in Naples, Florida (INC) is responsible for supporting all outsourced manufacturing product approvals on a global scale. We are searching for an Intern who is pursuing an Engineering degree, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical or Biomedical, to support the team. The successful candidate will prepare training materials for a new Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, review manufacturing product submissions, interact with contract manufactures, and lead the creation of a master contact chemical list from externally sourced cleaning processes all with guidance from the engineering staff.

This internship will run from May 2022 – August 2022. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Naples, FL facility.

Main Objective:

To assist DtM Supplier Quality Engineering Team with large scale project completions.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Create training materials for SAP PLM Transition Project                                                  




  • Developing Supplier Contact Chemicals Master Lists




  • Manage and review Supplier Submissions for AOS retroactive Production Part Approval Process (PPAPs)



  • This is an in-office position located in Naples, FL; it is not a remote position.

Education and Experience:

Progress towards a college degree in Engineering required, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical or Biomedical. (Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern/co-op up to six months from their graduation date.)

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:


  • Advanced computer skills.

  • Be able to follow written and verbal direction.

  • Basic knowledge of statistics required.

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
