Job Description:

The Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for contributing to and producing regularly updated all-source intelligence reports, presentations and finished products supporting the Pinkerton Protection Group. The Analyst researches, analyzes, and contributes to the formulation of integrated intelligence products using internal and external open-sourced materials. This position may be based in Ann Arbor, MI or anywhere within the United States.

Essential Functions:


  1. Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  2. Assist with the development and coordination of value-add synthesis and analysis to address key intelligence information needs for the audience.
  3. Research, categorize, review, and verify all-source information, alert notices, crime data, and other reports, as required.
  4. Develop expertise to discern trends, warnings, and provide an accurate understanding of present and future threats.
  5. Provides direct support to regional security operations, executive protection, and ad-hoc intelligence needs.
  6. Research, evaluate, integrate, and analyze all-source data from multiple channels in the preparation and presentation of clear, concise, in-depth intelligence analytical products.
  7. May represent the organization in the preparation and presentation of security related information and intelligence briefings at conferences, working groups, and planning sessions.
  8. Directly support the preparation of location threat briefs;

    • Provide peer-reviews of team produced reports.

  9. Serve as a professional representative of the company while protecting client interests.
  10. Participate in group projects, as needed.
  11. All other duties, as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

BA/BS in political science, history, international relations or criminal justice with five or more years of contemporary related experience or, an equivalent combination of education and/or experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. Verified training in intelligence disciplines gained thru military service is a plus. Bi-lingual languages skills, preferred.

  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to implement various streams of incident and crime information into trend analysis reports.
  • Able to evaluate and recommend changes in intelligence operations methods.
  • Strong analytical expertise with the ability to accurately draw conclusions.
  • Able to carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision.
  • Interact effectively at all levels of an organization and across diverse cultural and language barriers.
  • Serve as a collaborative team member.
  • Able to present and defend intelligence analysis to a wide variety of audiences that include peers, supervisors, and clients.
  • Able to quickly learn and use various Web-based search tools.
  • Computer skills; Microsoft Office, Tableau, PowerPoint, Power BI, Excel.
