The National Account Manager plays an important role in developing customer relationships with key national retailers (Walmart and Albertsons) by strategically identifying and addressing future opportunities with the customer. The National Account Manager owns the relationship with their customer and is responsible for ensuring that Tasty Bite is viewed as a value-added partner. This person will need to understand the trends of the Conventional Channel, MULO, and how they best fit the needs of their customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead customer contact for Walmart and Albertsons/Safeway
Responsible for growing profit and volume of our brands (Tasty Bite) to achieve plan with key retailers.
Understand customer priorities and business issues
Identify and develop customer initiatives to drive growth for Tasty Bite and satisfy customer needs
Develop annual and quarterly plans to accomplish key objectives with key retailers
Work collaboratively with Mars grocery team to leverage opportunities for joint programs on
Develop relationships with key customer personnel across all functions and at all levels to develop and execute programs at a strategic and tactical level
Incorporate new item introductions into the annual plan and coordinate launches with key customers
Develop, present, implement, track, and review Tasty Bite business
Partner with retailers to develop and implement business plans and goals/initiatives
Work with category management/account managers to analyze, recap, and disseminate research findings
Analyze competitive data to help formulate a strategy for sales growth
Engage with internal Tasty Bite functional experts to facilitate customer opportunities
Work with trade marketing, Sales leadership to develop sales plans and identify opportunities for trade spending efficiency and effectiveness

Deduction management
Complete forecasting process with the demand planning team
Complete margin/cost and pricing analysis
Exceptional ongoing communication to the manager and internal stakeholders

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree required
EXPERIENCE:
At least 5-10 years of CPG sales experience calling directly on National Accounts (Kroger, Walmart, Albertsons). Regional and national distributor management experience a plus (DOT, UNFI, KeHE, Supervalu)
OTHER:
Proven experience building strong relationships with grocery retailers
Proven capability to develop a strategic vision for driving growth with customers
Broker management experience
Experience understanding customer issues and developing solutions to respond to their specific needs
Experience analyzing syndicated data and shopper insights to develop customer-specific recommendations
Listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
Travel will be required for customer meetings, market visits, trade shows
