Job Description

The Analytics Director will report into Data Science & Engineering group whose:

Mission - is to develop and manage a curated data & analytics platform that provides intelligence and drives efficiency to SVB Capital

Vision - to become the industry leading analytics & data science practice, bringing a data-driven approach to venture investing and financing.

This position will join the Data Science & Engineering leadership team and manage the core analytics platform & corresponding operating model, the sales technology stack, and analytics team.

Manage and develop the SVBC analytics function which acts as the data & analytics engagement model to each of the SVBC business lines. This requires to work alongside the SVBC data science and engineering functions, in conjunction with the specific verticals they support, to execute on curated business line initiatives that bring further efficiency and enhanced capability via quantitative analysis and solutions.

Analytics initiatives will commonly draw from the following domains:


  • Business Intelligence

  • Exploratory Data Analysis

  • Thought Leadership

  • Predictive Analytics

  • Reporting

  • Tools & Technology aligned to business consumption



Core responsibilities:

  • Maintain/enhance DS&E operating model

  • Engage with stakeholders to optimize priorities & resources

  • Project manage the portfolio of stakeholder DS&E roadmaps in collaboration with the business and the DS&E data & analytics liaisons


Manage and develop the suite of tools and technology to enable and streamline the business. This includes coauthoring & enabling process flows and optimizing designs to drive adoption.

  • Alluve - CRM

  • Monday.Com - Project Mgmt Solution


Manage, develop, and retain a team of analytical professionals focused on delivering value via tools, technology, and analytics.
