Position Description

Maintain professional relationships with customers, carriers and other KM departments/employees. Handle all required paperwork as defined in the Operating Procedures to efficiently execute customer truck orders, rail car, or vessel data in Kinder Morgan's Galahad inventory system and customer inventory systems. Ability to work in CMMS (Maximo) programs. Requires close attention to detail, accurate calculations, to avoid serious and costly errors. Will be working closely with multiple departments as a team to avoid conflicts and meet all customer; needs / multiple demands. Must be able to multi-task - creating plant operating orders, taking phone calls, interfacing with truck drivers, communicating via radio, contacting customers to resolve conflicts. Create an accurate legal D.O.T. BOL that meets KLM, D.O.T. and customer requirements. Provide 100% customer satisfaction. Follow through on customer related issues to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Maintain proficiency and accuracy using Customers orders, Kinder Morgan Order creation system (Galahad), and Kinder Morgan's dual verification procedure. Handle issues and problems related to the movement of the customers request; product by interfacing with the Senior Dispatcher, Customer Service Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, Dispatch personnel, CSRs and the Sales Department to offer and execute solutions and adjustments in a timely manner. Cross trained on all KM accounts. Must be able to satisfy all customer requirements as the business demands. Promote teamwork among co-workers to ensure all customers are 100% satisfied in an efficient and timely manner. Perform job related special assignments as required. Prepare daily / weekly / monthly customer reports and or Bills of lading.

Position Requirements

Education Requirements: High school diploma and/or GED. College experience is a plus. Job Requirements: 3-5 years' experience working in a scale house or in customer service role is a plus. Must have experience scaling trucks and calculating loads according to DOT regulations. Ability to learn or use required CMMS (Maximo) system, a plus with prior knowledge. Individual must have the ability to pass pre-employment testing. Individual must possess excellent math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages and fractions) as well as being very detailed oriented in various applications such as Excel, Data Entry and Outlook.. Must be very detailed oriented and have the ability to problem solve and troubleshoot. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability the multi-task as well as manage the dispatching office with minimal supervision. Must be able to perform work as directed by management. Individual must possess excellent customer service skills as well as the ability to work from written and verbal instructions. Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisor), adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules, as well as, take on additional job responsibilities as needed. Must be able to work quickly, independently and accurately under pressure. Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of performance. Physical requirements include but may not be limited to walk up and down stairs, standing for extending periods of time and carry up to 25 pounds. Mandatory drug screen and background check upon hire. All other duties as assigned.
