Job Description:

JOB DUTIES:
Sr. Manufacturing Engineer- Data Analytics for Medtronic, Inc. located in Northridge, CA. Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout. Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance. Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques. Responsible for manufacturing engineering in the regulated field of Medical equipment development. Coordinates Electro-chemical In-Vitro testing technology. Utilizes SQL based engineering data collection systems for medical device test data gathering and reporting. Utilizes large data analytics to extract insights of test system stability improvement. Leverages various analytical programming tools to include Python, R, MATLAB and Excel. Coordinates with various laboratory staff to ensure data integrity and identify opportunities for improvement in a medical device testing laboratory environment to include biohazard level II labs performing assay testing with diagnostic equipment. Utilizes document lifetime mgmt. systems (EDMS) Electronic Document Mgmt. Systems to include Agile.

REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a Master's degree in Chemical, Biochemical, or Biomedical Engineering and two (2) years of experience in manufacturing processes and two (2) years of post-bachelor's progressive experience in all of the following: Medical equipment development or manufacturing. Electro-chemical In-Vitro testing technology. SQL based engineering data collection systems for medical device test data gathering and reporting. Query, process and visualize large datasets to extract insights of test system stability. Python, R, MATLAB and Excel. Working in a medical device testing laboratory environment to include biohazard level II labs performing assay testing with diagnostic equipment and coordinating with lab staff. Electronic Document Mgmt. Systems to include Agile.
