The Vice President, Product Management is responsible for leading all Software & Mechatronics Product strategy & management for Dematic. In partnership with our VP of Product Development and SVP Systems and Software Development, the leader must ensure products are integrated in a pluggable fashion to form fully functional and validated subsystems and to ensure all components are delivered concurrently.

This role must work closely with the Vice Presidents of Business Development and Strategy to ensure the higher-level business and solution strategies are realized through actual product deliverables. Building strong working relationships with all regional managing directors is critical, ensuring that product management support is provided to Business Solutions and Customer Service teams, that our products are highly competitive and serviceable and that we stay technologically ahead of the competition.

The leader must understand the unique needs of each region and must prioritize effectively in driving strategic and annual plans, with responsibility to provide direct product assistance, supporting all regions to help them achieve their revenue & profitability targets.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Accountabilities:

• Lead responsibility for products and software, supporting all regions to achieve their revenue commitments


• Lead executive responsible for strategic plans for all product, software, and services related initiatives


• Lead the coordination of components (mech + software)into commercialized offerings


• Responsible for product lifecycle management using Dematic's GOLD process, concepting through launch and lifecycle support


• Process excellence function and GPS-wide operations management in support of all GPS functions


• Responsibility for Dematic Mobile Automation Product management

• Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent business


• MBA Preferred


• Demonstrated business acumen and strong communication skills, both oral and written


• Excellent listening skills, attentive to needs of the business, together with very strong presentation skills


• 10+ years related experience operating in a similar technical or product management role


• Experience managing multi million-dollar budgets and associated business plans.


• Depth of knowledge in a variety of mechanical and software related technologies, relevant to material handling


• Ability to create and conceptualize strategic programs within area of responsibility and forecast their impact


• Act as a leader/advisor in troubleshooting and resolving complex problems in partnership with multiple departments


• Advanced knowledge of concepts and processes to effectively support matrixed leaders in a large global organization


• Expert managing work direction, motivation, and performance management of global teams


• Experience leading multiple levels of managers in a culturally diverse, global organization.


• Ability to travel as much as 50% of the time.
