Summary:
Support organization by ensuring operational efficiency of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems in production. Responsible for facility and grounds maintenance through timely inspection and repair. Effectively lead the maintenance and custodial team to achieve operational excellence. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement of plant operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee maintenance of company property and physical operations to include inspection of electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair while ensuring compliance with codes; ensure all maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely, cost-effective manner and according to all specifications.
Manages the maintenance and availability of facility equipment, machinery, buildings, services, and other resources.
Plans, budgets, and schedules facility, equipment, and service deliveries, installations, maintenance, modifications, upkeep, and availability, including building project plans and cost estimates.
Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and new facilities readiness.
Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure sustainable, effective, and efficient facility operations.
Specifies, evaluates, and procures capital equipment.
Manage contractors and projects to sustain and grow facility capabilities.
Maintain building and facility support equipment, monitoring facilities equipment and systems to ensure proper operation within guidelines/specifications and reporting performance on a regular basis to management and peers.
Develop/implement Preventative Maintenance program to reduce equipment downtime and direct plant priorities for equipment maintenance and repair
Plan and supervise the daily activities of maintenance personnel
Participate in the development of policies and procedures related to maintenance and safety
Ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of the overall maintenance and reliability processes and activities to maximize equipment reliability
Interface with Project Managers to execute equipment changes/upgrades to existing or new processes
Assist in training employees in the use of new equipment and general plant operations
Work closely and cooperatively with outside vendors to ensure good service and reduced costs.
Ability to assume responsibility to make rapid and correct decisions especially during system failures and or emergencies.
On call coverage to support alarms or emergencies as needed
Occasional support to FBDs Novofaze Lab and Dallas office
Qualifications - Education/Experience:
Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and directly related work experience.
Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience
Demonstrated management and leadership ability and experience developing teams and mentoring staff members.
Demonstrated success implementing & optimizing reliable maintenance systems and processes
Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance
Experience working with local, state and/or federal regulatory agencies.
Understanding of environmental issues, particularly waste, hazardous waste, and refrigerant gas management.
Knowledge of and practical experience with compressed air systems, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, plumbing, pneumatic, controls, facility, and life safety systems.
Practical experience in trouble shooting manufacturing and facility equipment
Ability to accurately follow operation manuals, manufacturing and installation instructions, sketches, blueprints, and diagrams.
Strong people and relationship management skills with the ability to direct and lead others to deliver results
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to manage priorities and workflow while remaining flexible, versatile, and willing to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions, especially during system failures and/or emergencies
Knowledge of Lean concepts and practices a plus
Excellent oral and written communication with the ability to develop and maintain policies, procedures, presentations, and training material.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Some travel required, with the ability to travel internationally.

Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods
Must be able to stoop, kneel, climb, bend, and be able to reach overhead and below the shoulder.
Physically able to handle items weighing up to 40 lbs. unassisted.
Continuous use of both hands, including grasping, pulling, and pushing.
Able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Occasional exposure to physical environment which involves odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements.
