Job Summary:


The Technician, Global Security provides security system reviews, audits, vulnerability assessments and analysis of facilities to identify and address security vulnerabilities, and to ensure that security policies, procedures, and programs are properly implemented. Technician duties include conducting security system services on different security platforms at all Hershey facilities within the North America. The Technician will interact with both Hershey and contract personnel to implement strategic security systems/technology installations, upgrades, reconfigurations, and modifications.


Role Responsibilities:


Implement strategic security system/technology installations, upgrades, reconfigurations, and modifications at all manufacturing, retail, distribution, and office facilities. Monitor vendor's installation work and provide oversight to ensure that the security system is properly installed. Provide access control system management with periodic updates and changes. Provide technical support for security equipment and provide technical responses to related concerns.


Assist Senior Global Security leadership with the design and implementation of specialized security system programs in North America. Programs may include, but are not limited to, Global Security Operations Center, Food Defense, Global Supply Chain Security, Site Assessment, Information Protection, and Department Process Documentation. Provide leadership in the resolution of complex technical issues with a strong emphasis on conducting root failure analysis and the development of corrective action plans.


Have the ability to work outside normal business hours to accomplish security system reboots or restore failures. Available to be on-call 24 hours, 7 days a week. Utilize effective communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationship with team members, facility members, vendors, internal clients, and management teams. Ability to travel to all North American Hershey facilities.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelors or Technical degree in support of electronic security systems. NICET 3 or ASIS PSP certification preferred. Master's Degree preferred (MBA, MS in HR, or advanced degree in OD).

  • A minimum of +5 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility in support of electronic security systems and projects. A broad working knowledge of security system integration techniques.

  • Project management skills, including the ability to design and implement security, CCTV, access control programs spanning multiple business units and functions.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively work at all levels of the Company. Must be able to interface with senior Company leadership.

  • Experience with Software House C-Cure access control and IP video products strongly preferred.

  • Ability to exercise initiative, be self-directed, manage time and multiple priorities, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

  • Extensive experience with a broad working knowledge of security system integration techniques.

  • Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in PC applications, including Word, Excel, Access, Document management, and CAD applications.

  • Must possess current technical knowledge of security system integration, communication methods via WAN/LAN networks, fiber optic and CCTV transmission.
