The successful candidate will have strong, demonstrated communication, customer services, collaboration and analytics skills needed to work with a global team of sales professionals and analysts.

Responsibilities


  • Learn and understand the various data product offerings, the value proposition of each and be able to point sales and prospects to the appropriate products to address their needs

  • Learn assigned accounts (type of company, focus areas, what they buy, what they should buy, contract/pricing legacies, annual vs any mid-year changes)

  • Document and/or maintain existing records of assigned accounts including subscription details, gap analysis, booking notes/instructions

  • Work with multiple teams internally to ensure client is properly receiving their subscriptions

  • Support IDC sales force with product packaging and pricing requests

  • Actively support sales during client renewal discussions

  • Willingness to take on additional projects that may arise



Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s in business administration and prior experience in a sales, customer service or business development is preferred

  • Required minimum of 2-4 years in a Sales Department or Customer service/ Business development

  • Prior market research industry, or technical, sales experience is a plus

  • Detail oriented and quantitative – able to navigate complex pricing and/or forecasting spreadsheets and client requests

  • Strong communication skills- verbal and written- and able to communicate and work across multiple teams

  • Strong proficiency with various software programs including Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.com

  • Comfortable presenting and leading client meetings

  • Demonstrated success working independently to support the sale of complex data products and services to technology vendors

  • Post Covid this role could have some limited travel (0-10%)

  • This role can be based in one our offices in Needham, MA or San Mateo, CA
