LOTO and other plant specific training to keep ones self-safe must be done. Responsible for maintaining the quality workmanship and for ensuring that quality is taught to all team members. Responsibility for errors:
High School Diploma or GED required. Recommended degree in Engineering (Electrical and/or Mechanical) with at least 5 years' experience or the equivalent sufficient.
Proven abilities in fabricating.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Basic knowledge of the entire process for manufacturing hardwood plywood.
Detailed knowledge of process equipment.
Problem solve and engage with necessary staff/team leads to address emerging facility or equipment issues.
Working knowledge of safety standards of equipment.
Computer experience. (ERP system, excel, word, etc.)
Basic knowledge of wood species and production requirements.
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
General knowledge in repairs of machinery, installation, modification, and maintenance of plumbing fixtures in heating, water, and drainage systems.
General knowledge of maintenance/ground equipment operation, maintenance, and repair.
Ability to plan for projects, shutdowns, design changes knowledge.
Technical skills to include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic.
Ability to work independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines.
Sound judgement and decision capabilities.
