RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, a growing and cutting-edge technology company in New York City, NY is seeking a Remote Mobile Development Engineer to help develop and maintain our iOS and Android apps. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on this exclusive search assignment. This position is 100% Remote.

Summary:
The ideal candidate has mastered either iOS or Android and has some experience-or an interest in learning-the other platform. The Mobile Development Engineer will be working within our mobile development team and be expected to contribute to both platforms as our needs require. In addition to working with mobile developers, you will also be a part of a team of engineers working on web development, firmware, wireless networking protocols, hardware, and QA. The Mobile Development Engineer will also collaborate closely with UI/UX and product management to ensure high-quality production and deployment of fully integrated applications that serve as the interface for the company's next-generation communication systems.

Responsibilities:


  • Mobile Development Engineer will design, build, and unit test the company's iOS and Android apps

  • Collaborate with firmware, hardware, QA, and product management teams to define, implement, and ship new features

  • Ensure highest quality and performance of the company's mobile apps

  • As a Mobile Development Engineer, you will design and develop SDK for third-party developers

  • Develop scalable maintainable architecture and code by applying best-in-class software engineering practices







REQUIREMENTS:



  • AS or BS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar field or equivalent work experience

  • 3-5+ years of overall software engineering experience

  • 3-5+ years of experience in Swift or Kotlin as a primary language

  • 3+ years of experience in commercially shipped Apps

  • Experience or willingness to learn Swift or Kotlin as a secondary language

  • Experience with MVVM

  • Experience developing multithreading apps, performance tuning, and debugging

  • Experience working closely with UI/UX designers to implement intuitive interfaces

  • Experience with one or more iOS frameworks

  • Experience with source code management tools such as GitHub and familiarity with continuous integration tools

  • Proven track record of taking initiative to proactively resolve technical issues

Nice to Haves but not required:

  • Additional development experience with other platforms and languages

  • Experience writing Bluetooth apps & familiarity with Bluetooth SDKs

  • Experience using Map frameworks, RESTful APIs, and connection to backend servers

  • Experience with encryption, security, Cryptokit

  • Auto-layout knowledge

  • Experience writing unit tests

  • Experience with hardware integration
