Position Summary
 
The Cement Equipment Operator promotes excellent customer relations and satisfaction with the work performed at the well site while performing equipment rig up and rig down and preparing equipment for performing the job. With supervision, the individual in this position is responsible for safe and efficient operations of bulk equipment and cement pump equipment on the well site; during the delivery of services in accordance with customer's design and key performance indicators (KPI's). Additionally, the Cement Equipment Operator performs necessary calculations as well as data collection and data distribution at the well site. At the culmination of each job, the cement equipment operator coordinates the clean-up, repair, and preparation of equipment for the next job.

Key Accountabilities


  • Complete the preparation of cement pumping equipment for the well site.

  • Responsible for the safe operation of bulk and pump equipment, rig-up and rig down of high and low-pressure operations during the delivery of services, in accordance with the customer's design and KPIs.

  • Responsible to keep the equipment clean when returned to facilities.

  • Prepares cement pumping equipment for the well site.

  • Complete equipment function checks in preparation for the job.

  • Will be required to drive company light-duty and commercial vehicles.

  • Utilizes real-time data under dynamic job conditions, communicating results to appropriate personnel at the location.

  • Promotes safety awareness, environmental consciousness, and takes an active role in quality improvement processes.

  • Ensures that a high level of efficiency and readiness is achieved by the department in regard to equipment operating.

  • Performs work on his/her own as well as provides assistance to other employees as directed.

  • Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required by immediate supervisor.

  • Report unsafe acts, conditions or hazards immediately.

  • Perform all duties in compliance with customer and company policies and procedures and applicable regulations.

  • Actively participates in safety meetings to identify and address risks and hazards.

  • Utilizes competency Processes to enhance job performance.

  • Required to complete a OSHA respirator fit test.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of and Compliance with DOT rules and regulations.

  • Knowledge of company policies, HSE standards and departmental guidelines.

  • Skills to drive Commercial Class A Vehicles

  • Knowledge of Lifting, Hoist, Slings

  • Ability to Coach on all equipment pre and post job function checks

  • Knowledge of Bulk Equipment, High-Pressure Iron rig up and rig down, High Pressure Mixing Pumps, Blenders and Auxiliary Equipment.

  • Ability to Coach on Blow down and Move Field Bins and Vertical Silos.

  • Ability to perform Cement Jobs as per job design.

  • Ability to Perform Basic Maintenance on equipment, cement heads and miscellaneous equipment.

  • Ability to follow the Journey management Process.

  • Ability to read, write and speak English to the extent that they are able to understand verbal and written instructions as well as give verbal and written instructions in English

  • Ability to use simple mathematical calculations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals (addition, subtraction, division and multiplication) to make job-related calculations

  • Basic Computer skills

Minimum Required Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent - Preferred
Licenses and Certifications

  • Valid Driver's License - Required

  • Class A Commercial Driver's License - Required

  • HAZMAT Endorsement - Preferred
