Job Description:

 

Cloud Lake Technology, LLC is looking to hire a Geospatial Database Engineer to join us supporting one of our current government customers at Hurlburt Field, FL. The successful candidate will be part of a team that builds synthetic environments that are flown on Special Operations Forces ground and air simulators; the system provides operational intelligence support to enable integrated SOF mission planning and rehearsal for real-world combat environments. This position will help develop, enhance, and analyze various forms of digital geographical data, and then assemble this data into real-time visual databases for flight and ground simulation.

Sample of daily responsibilities:



  • Enhances, sustains, and analyzes the various forms of digital Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) data, and assembles them to produce three-dimensional (3D) scene visualization databases and enhanced GEOINT data (maps, imagery, and terrain data) in support of SOF training, planning, rehearsal and execution systems.




  • Edits and creates geospatial informational (GIS) data in support of 3D simulation projects.




  • Produces 3D high-level and low-level models in support of SOF training, planning, rehearsal and 3D terrain database generation execution systems.  




  • Creates 3D terrain databases for any of the following visual and radar simulation systems:  Vital, Virtual Battlespace (VBS), MetaVR VRSG, Common Database (CDB), and Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF).




  • Ensures quality control is performed on all data that has been digitized, modeled, and colorized for each database.




  • Validate the geospatial accuracy and certifies the use of intelligence data in the final product.




  • Other duties as required.



Minimum Qualifications: 



  • Active Secret clearance. 




  •  Associate or Bachelor-level degree (Combination of training, education, experience including Military service equivalent to a degree and required years of experience may be acceptable). 




  • Minimum of 5 years of professional and relevant experience. 




  • Experience supporting military / DoD program is a plus.  




  • Proficient user of at least two of the following programs: FSI Vital 1100, CDB, Presagis Creator, Autodesk 3D Studio Max, Autodesk Maya, ESRI ArcGIS Suite, Presagis Terra Vista, Presagis Creator, SOCET GXP, TerraSim TerraTools, VBS3, Unity and MetaVR.  




  • Proficient in 3D database generation workflow.




  • Experience with geographic information systems data types




  • Experience creating and manipulating multiple geospatial intelligence data formats used to create simulation visual databases. 




  • Have demonstrated a superior ability in developing effective professional and interpersonal relationships with peers and colleagues across multiple functional groups and external partners. 




  • Have demonstrated an ability to balance responsibilities among assigned activities; including the ability to manage transitions effectively from task to task, and proven adaptability to varying customer needs. 




  • Good time management skills are necessary to complete projects that range in time from a few hours to months. 




  • You must be able to meet all health requirements, including but not limited to, current and future vaccination requirements for infectious diseases such as COVID-19.
