We are excited to be hiring for a Material Handler for our Powder Coating Department! 

Qualified individual will be responsible for a variety of tasks involving metal extrusions that have been powder coated.  This position does not involve forklift driving, but some employees may be trained to operate a scissor lift when necessary.

The position does require flexibility with schedules due to production needs. Typical shifts are Monday – Friday from 5am-3pm or 7am-5pm. Great opportunity for someone who’s looking to pick up a couple of overtime hours each day!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lift and stack metal extrusions (24 feet in length)


• Package metal extrusions to be shipped out


• Read and process work orders by due dates provided


• Use an air hose to remove residue from extrusions that have been powder coated


• Inspect metal for any blemishes or defects


• Ensure the machines and tools are in good working order, perform daily cleaning and light maintenance on machinery/tools and maintain a clean work area

Requirements

• Must be able to work at a fast pace


• Must be able to read and follow instructions


• Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand, lift, bend, twist, walk, push, pull, and reach frequently


• Must be able to perform heavy work, exerting up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis


• Must be able to work in an environment that is not climate controlled (protection from the weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes


• Must have close visual acuity to perform assigned tasks
