Our Partnership Accounting team focuses on maximizing the value of being a partner at Edward Jones.  We expect the number of partners, including the more than 3,000 financial advisors that choose to operate their branch as partners (known as Service Partners), to continue to rise. 

As a Senior Service Specialist and key member of the Partnership Accounting team, you will be responsible for providing world class service to the firm's partners.  Additionally, you will play an integral role in informing how we communicate with and educate partners.

The Senior Service Specialist will:


  • Answer incoming calls and written correspondence about all department topics which may include delivering sensitive messages about:                           


    1. Partner earnings, including Service Partner earnings

    2. Retirement savings

    3. Taxes



  • Draw information from multiple sources to identify, analyze, and resolve questions or problems daily.

  • Keep up to date on changes in processes or information necessary to do the job. 

  • Identify trends and surface opportunities and issues.

  • Act as a resource for other associates.

  • Utilize in depth knowledge of department topics to research questions which vary in detail and level of complexity. 

 

  • Bachelor's degree required (focus in Accounting/Finance or comprehensive relative experience strongly preferred).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. 

    • Demonstrates expertise in world class service attributes, including professionalism, reaching agreement and customization, and spirit of caring.

    • Must be able to respond to callers with appropriate tone, organized thoughts, and confidence.

    • Must be able to respond to written correspondence in a clear, succinct manner using correct grammar, spelling and format.




  • Must be able to multi-task and follow-up appropriately to take issues to resolution.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and quickly learn and apply new information. 

  • Strong computer skills, including effective use of Microsoft Office applications are required. 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills are required.
