State street is looking for a Delivery Manager with 8+ years of experience managing and supporting application for large and complex reconciliations, accounting, general ledger interfaces and reporting applications. The candidate needs to have a good understanding of financial domain. This is a highly visible position and will have a significant impact on the business. The candidate will work closely with business and IT leaders.

What you will be responsible for

• Building strong partnership with technology & business leaders and peers.


• Work closely with the Product Owner and others on requirements analysis, planning, project management, and execution.


• Support production systems to ensure business continuity and continuous improvement of applications supported.


• Advocate and implement best practices and improved team processes.


• Provide expert level troubleshooting on large, mission critical client/project implementations.


• Work in a dynamic, fast-paced, Agile team environment.


• The individual is responsible for providing vision, expertise and guidance on software construction while ensuring uncompromising quality and usability, as well as being responsible for all aspects of staff management including promoting career growth, improving skill sets and holding teams accountable for meeting goals.


• Working with Product Management leadership to plan, design and develop software solutions to meet reconciliation needs;


• Driving the Agile process and creating a culture of continuous improvement of processes and methodologies; writing, reviewing, and approving software development specifications, projects, proposals, methods, and schedules;


• Leading architecture and technical direction for the area of responsibility while keeping abreast of existing and emerging technologies impactful to State Street business; providing expert guidance and critical analysis of proposed changes during design reviews and product demos with a sharp eye towards simplicity of design and function;


• Reviewing testing strategy and test plans for team’s product to ensure high product quality; Identifying improvements in team quality processes including defining new strategies, processes, and required tooling;


• Act as escalation point and primary contact point for troubleshooting customer production problems; and acting in a team lead capacity as needed

• Experience in Cloud technologies, Java/Unix/VBA scripts


• Experience in Eclipse, XML, Spring, Hibernate, MVC, and JS Framework skills. Experience in requirements analysis and system design

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering


• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience with application development.


• Ability to lead delivery, manage team members if required and provide feedback


• Ability to make effective decisions and manage change


• Communicates effectively in a professional manner both written and orally


• Team player with a positive attitude enthusiasm initiative and self-motivation


• Ability to multi-task energetic fast learner & problem solver


• Knowledge of Insurance, custody services, data privacy and other related financial domain is plus.

Additional requirements

This role may require occasional L4 production support and weekend release support.
