This position involves the operation of a CNC machine (Computer Numeric Controlled). The machine is used to drill, cut holes and notches in glass panels. The operator will track, locate and record fabrication production on schedules provided by the lead team.

This position is for our 2nd shift, starting at 3:30pm, on Monday - Friday. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up a CNC machine to perform proper fabrication according to fabrication sheets and schedules


• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings, process work orders by due dates provided


• Complete daily worksheets and forms, calculate necessary measurements and inspect work


• Properly and safely load and unload raw glass to and from the machine


• Ensure the machine is in good working order, perform daily cleaning and light maintenance on machinery

Requirements

• Must have basic computer knowledge to enter data appropriately


• Must have 6 Months to 1 year of experience operating machinery


• Must have ability read and perform calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions and decimals


• Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand, lift, bend, and twist frequently


• Must be able to walk, push, pull, and reach occasionally


• Must be able to perform heavy work, lifting and moving material that can weigh up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis


• Must be able to work in an environment that is not climate controlled (protection from the weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes)


• Must be able to work in a noisy environment due to machinery


• Must have close visual acuity to perform assigned tasks, such as reading work orders and tape measures, inspecting material, and operating machinery
