The Marketing Manager, Surgery and Heart Failure is responsible for the development and execution of the US commercial marketing strategy for Abiomed's Surgery and Heart Failure portfolio. This person will drive the US downstream marketing strategy and execution, inclusive of product launches, marketing campaigns, trade show strategies, field collateral creation, and special marketing event planning. This person will also collaborate closely with peers in communications, clinical marketing, and product marketing to enable the US commercial organization to increase demand for Abiomed's portfolio of therapies with cardiac surgeons, heart failure cardiologists, intensivists, perfusionists, and other care providers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Develop and drive innovative programs to expand awareness and adoption of Impella 5.5 and the Breethe Oxy-1 System as the preferred treatment option amongst treating physicians

  • Execute concerted marketing programs and sales campaigns to drive adoption of Impella 5.5 and the Breethe Oxy-1 System

  • Effectively launch Abiomed's innovative products, develop key messages, and disseminate clinical evidence and best practices to the field organization

  • Tell compelling product and evidence stories in targeted advertisement, tradeshows, and through print and digital channels.

  • Identify key adoption barriers in product adoption and referral pathways, and build the appropriate programs to overcome those barriers

  • Buildadeep understanding of the changing dynamics that impact clinical choice and hospital operations that could help or hinder the growth of the Surgery and Heart Failure portfolio

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive understanding of current literature, emerging science, technological developments and trends on relevant therapies and competitive products.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements


  • A minimum of 5 years marketing experience with solid business acumen and knowledge of medical device market environment is required.

  • A bachelor's degree is required. Postgraduate degree is preferred.

  • Marketing experience in the cardiac surgery and/or advanced heart failure space is preferred.

  • Strong PowerPoint skill is essential.

  • Digital marketing experience is a plus.

  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

  • Possesses good organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks through effective prioritization to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities.

  • Consistently pushes self and others to achieve challenging goals and objectives with a track record of executional successes based on integrity.

  • Demonstrated ability to conceive, develop and implement strategies, convert these into tactical marketing plans and deliver results.

  • Ability to effectively influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders through utilization of organizational channels, experience and influencing skills to persuade others of the course of action.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including salesandmarketing leadership.

  • Ability to develop strong relationships with customers, and multi-functional partners.

  • Creative out of the box thinker who is intellectually curious.

  • Domestic and international travel up to 25%.
