Kforce's client, a growing company in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Mid-Level or Senior Level Metrology Engineer. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on this exclusive search assignment.
Summary:
Mid-Level or Senior Level Metrology Engineer will be part of a dynamic materials development labs. Successful candidates will have a strong understanding of materials characterization equipment and methods, be self-motivated, hands-on, and a resourceful problem solver. You will work closely with process engineers to both develop and optimize the deposition of next generation materials for the advanced node semiconductor processing.
Duties:
Mid-Level or Senior Level Metrology Engineer will drive understanding and application of existing and new metrology techniques to ensure measurement capabilities meet the company's material technical roadmap
Provide technical expertise in identifying equipment hardware/software malfunctions and interface with metrology equipment vendors to resolve issues
Collaborate with process development engineers to advise in the selection of appropriate characterization techniques and to aid in data interpretation for process development and optimization
As a Mid-Level or Senior Level Metrology Engineer, you will acquire process metrology data and concisely summarize results for management and engineering review
Partner with vendors to maintain tool operations with the purpose ensuring uptime of equipment
Train engineers on metrology equipment, create standard operating procedures, and develop recovery procedures for tool-down situations
Develop applications to identify issues, solve problems and deliver solutions and optimizations
Mid-Level or Senior Level Metrology Engineers develop metrology recipes where applicable to facilitate turnkey operations
Provide lab operations and provide on call coverage for the lab's operation
REQUIREMENTS:
MS or Ph.D. in Material Science, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline
At least 5+ years of experience in industry characterizing thin film deposition
Experience and working knowledge of various techniques such as XRR, XRD, XRF, TXRF, optical defect inspection, e-beam defect inspection and review, FTIR, SPV, four-point probe and hall effect measurements
Basic understanding of semiconductor processing and device fabrication
Excellent computer skills including MS Office and JMP
Strong data analysis skills with high attention to detail
Ability to work independently and in a team environment with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to provide support on nights and weekend as need
Strong working knowledge of SPC and DOE principles and methods
Maintain Laboratory LEAN 6S housekeeping
Attend conferences, seminars, and workshops to enhance metrology skills
