Job Description:


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking an API Product Owner in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities:


  • API Product Owner will define product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities

  • Streamlining the execution of team priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features/components for the team

  • Work with stakeholders to create and organize Product and Epic backlogs

  • Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on

  • Actively participate in all squad ceremonies including planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and (leading) grooming

  • Assuring a level of quality has been achieved by validating that the Story meets acceptance criteria and has met acceptance tests; Approves stories as complete

  • As an API Product Owner, you will be responsible to update product management on Story status to align on delivery expectations

  • Lead the planning product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities

  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals

  • Participate on Scrum of Scrums and represent your scrum team

  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends







REQUIREMENTS:



  • 4+ years of working in tech, consulting, IT, or related field, as Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Manager, Consultant, or Project Manager

  • 4+ years of working with software products

  • Previous working experience or understanding about APIs and/or Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) & its concepts is a plus

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

  • Ability to effectively work on teams within a highly collaborative environment

  • Strong negotiation, organizational, management, analytical and people skills

  • Ability to understand various tech stacks and its impact to the product development

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, and an ability to execute against aggressive timelines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization

  • Previous experience in agile product development and healthcare industry preferred

  • Familiarity with agile processes, such as scrum, Kanban, and/or the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
