Kforce has a client that is seeking an API Product Owner in Boston, MA.
Responsibilities:
API Product Owner will define product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities
Streamlining the execution of team priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features/components for the team
Work with stakeholders to create and organize Product and Epic backlogs
Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on
Actively participate in all squad ceremonies including planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and (leading) grooming
Assuring a level of quality has been achieved by validating that the Story meets acceptance criteria and has met acceptance tests; Approves stories as complete
As an API Product Owner, you will be responsible to update product management on Story status to align on delivery expectations
Lead the planning product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities
Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
Participate on Scrum of Scrums and represent your scrum team
Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends
REQUIREMENTS:
4+ years of working in tech, consulting, IT, or related field, as Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Manager, Consultant, or Project Manager
4+ years of working with software products
Previous working experience or understanding about APIs and/or Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) & its concepts is a plus
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Ability to effectively work on teams within a highly collaborative environment
Strong negotiation, organizational, management, analytical and people skills
Ability to understand various tech stacks and its impact to the product development
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, and an ability to execute against aggressive timelines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization
Previous experience in agile product development and healthcare industry preferred
Familiarity with agile processes, such as scrum, Kanban, and/or the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
