Kforce's client, a successful Queens, New York (NY) based service firm is seeking a Collections Manager.
Key Tasks:
Primary duties are to ensure collections and maintaining receivables
Collections Manager will be responsible for receiving and processing payments and assigning to appropriate accounts
Help resolve billing conflicts through research, analysis, and communication with other departments
Work closely with Director of Collections and Vice President of Finance
Run and analyze Accounts Receivable Aging reports
Direct phone calls, E-mails and/or invoices to customers whose accounts are past due more than 60 days
As a Collections Manager, you will send invoices and statements to customers
Send Deposit invoices, negotiate terms, and collect deposit payments from customers with no current credit with the company (Process credit card payments)
Receive payments (checks, ACH, credit card payments) and assign to proper accounts/projects
Address billing disputes from customers including analyzing projects (billing, credits, payments) and working with various departments (Billing/Install/Service/Sales/Contracts) to resolve disputes
Work closely with the Billing/Service/Contracts/Sales departments to ensure proper billing
AIA processing, analysis, reconciliation and subcontracting
REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years of related credit/collections/Accounts Receivable experience
Excellent phone skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills; Able to prioritize independently and meet deadlines; Detail-oriented with excellent record keeping
Learn quickly, independently or with little supervision
Is comfortable in high-pressure situations
Excellent research and problem-solving skills
Observe and suggest ways to improve efficiency in the department
Excellent interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Word and Excel
