Assumes the responsibility for auditing the registrations for accuracy based on the established guidelines and updates/revises the registration in the computer system.
Job Specific Duties
Provides training as needed on registration functions identified by leadership and Sr. Quality Assurance Specialist.
Enters corrections as needed into computer system and notifies the Sr. Quality Assurance Specialist and the appropriate leader.
Monitors for duplicate medical record numbers, identifies root cause, and notifies the appropriate supervisor or department.
Reviews errors in QA system and notifies the appropriate leader.
Reviews unbilled account report for prescription accuracy and compliance.
Performs daily registration functions.
Audits demographic and third-party payer information on registrations for accuracy utilizing established guidelines.
Assists with denials work as needed.
Minimum Job Requirements
2-4 years of experience as a Registrar in a hospital environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
High school education or equivalent preferred
Ability to learn appropriate software applications.
Proficient in Excel.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
