Bonobos is looking for a VP of Production & Sourcing to oversee the development of all its products - for both Bonobos and Bonobos Fielder - from concept to delivery. With responsibility for executing against the brand's design aesthetic and high-quality standards, you will also be accountable for achieving and surpassing our margin goals, while maintaining on-time delivery.
Reporting to the COO Bonobos, the VP of Production & Sourcing, you will need deep expertise in all facets of the supply chain, across multiple categories and the ability to manage a diverse vendor base across the globe. In addition to managing a talented production team, you will also lead the research & development team to ensure that we are working with the newest fabric technologies and production processes to deliver best-in-class product whilst managing our impact on the environment.
This role is integral to the operations of the business and will work closely not only with partners in design, merchandising and planning, but also with Marketing to ensure we deliver an optimal end-to-end experience for our customers.
What you'll do...
Work closely with vendors for capacity, growth & long range planning
Partner with Production directors and managers to create implement seasonal strategies (cost, quality, etc.)
Manage departmental budgets including all sampling & development
Manage the fabric research development and process finding the right balance between the need for a variety of technologies, qualities and prints and the margin and quality requirements
Lead the process of fabric testing and quality control
Brainstorm cost savings opportunities that have no impact on the aesthetic or quality of the product or impede the ability to create best in class product
Inspire and lead a team of 10 production associates across various levels
Coach the team to mitigate issues, and proactively plan and travel to vendors
Oversee the process from product development through ex-factory, identifying areas of opportunity to evolve the process
Ensure the execution of Design's intent, balanced with cost and margin targets as set by the Finance
Partner closely with the Head of Design to understand upcoming trends and ensure we have the capability to execute
Work closely with the VP of Technical Design and Quality to ensure quality standards are being met and vendors are held accountable. If not, implementing action plans to correct recurring issues
Work closely with Merchandising and Planning heads to understand business objectives & ensure production strategies are aligned
Supervise the potential manufacturing of a diffusion line, making sure it is differentiated enough from the main line while maintaining quality and fit standards
Collaborate with Walmart Compliance team to ensure that all our vendors pass the requirements and violators are sanctioned
Lead the sustainability strategy to ensure that the company increases every year its adoption of sustainable practices and procedures both in terms of manufacturing and fabric/trim sourcing
Partner with Production Director to manage seasonal product calendar, ensuring all cross functional partners are aligned and deadlines met

Have 15+ years experience managing multiple product categories
Have significant experience working directly with vendors as well as with agents/sourcing offices
Have expertise in product development & manufacturing
Have proven leadership experience
Are able to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment, be flexible, and bend processes to support business needs
Are a strong relationship builder- you are able to flex between partnering with creatives & business leaders and demonstrate empathy for both
Are experienced in creating and managing budgets

Have expertise in fabric and a vast knowledge of mills worldwide
