ASCO Power Technologies, an industry leader in the manufacturing of Automatic Transfer Switches, Industrial Control Products, Load Banks, Power Control Systems, Services and Solutions, has an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Software Design Engineer.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Design, develop, test, and deploy new web applications and services
Programming and scripting in multiple high level languages.
Develop REST APIs written in .NET Core and NodeJS
Develop web front ends with Angular/TypeScript
Create software unit tests using XUnit, Karma, Jasmine
Define, design, and work with NoSQL and SQL databases
Maintain and manage automated testing utilities and Continuous Integration pipelines
Troubleshoot and test server code, web code, networks and device hardware
Provide user training and troubleshooting for software solutions
Identify, analyze, coordinate, and resolve environment and infrastructure needs.
Perform research and development into commercial and open source software and hardware solutions.
Prepare and present briefings on software solutions tailored to varying levels of technical expertise
Update job knowledge by studying start-of-the-art DevOps tools, CI/CD/CM trends and best practices with an eye toward improving existing solutions
Serve as the subject matter expert for CI/CD/CM tools
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (specific to position)
Project management of core CPM software releases
Mapping and integration of new devices within the core software databases
Develop and review software user stories for code development.
Maintain and expand the device mapping library
Maintains and develop product engineered files and drafts
Deploy software imaging for production deployment of 5710, 5750, and 5790 products.
Manages and executes ECNs and ECOs related to the CPM products and software developed for ASCO Power Technologies
Support ASCO on software bugs or issues
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor Sciences in Computer Engineering / Computer Science or related field
Four to Six years of experience in full stack web development or similar
Object Oriented Programming Languages
Experience with web APIs
Strong knowledge of JavaScript and web development
Database Programming and Design
Complete Understanding of the OSI Model
Technical Troubleshooting
Object Oriented Programming languages (C#, Python)
JavaScript, Angular, TypeScript and other web technologies
Operating System Design (Linux , Microsoft Windows Server)
