Design Engineer

The Design Engineer provides the design and technical support for security systems consisting of ACS, CCTV, IDS, PDS, Video Analytics, and other special systems. Their design integrates the low voltage package per plans and specifications, codes, design-build criteria, and scope of the project. The Design Engineer provides additional support to source potential work and collaborates on awarded opportunities.

The Role


  • Designs Electronic Security System (ESS) projects, reviews CAD drawings, reviews bids, and finalizes buildouts for accuracy and completeness

  • Applies knowledge to evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications to meet regulations, codes, and specifications

  • Designs testing methods and documentation

  • Applies expertise to respond to questions and requests for employees and customers

  • Provides training related to system design
