Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a motivated Environmental Engineering Co-op in Wilmington, DE.

Role accountabilities:

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual looking for career exposure to environmental consulting and the opportunity to learn about a wide variety of environmental projects. Specialized training for performing on-site act activities at hazardous waste sites will be provided dep depending upon project assignments.

Key Position responsibilities and learning objectives may include, but are not limited to:

• Act as part of a Team focused in obtaining, interpreting and evaluating field and analytical data in order to prepare engineering reports, designs, permit applications, and construction-related documents.

• Environmental remediation report and design tasks may include soil/groundwater/vapor remedial systems, innovative in-situ or ex-situ technology treatment design, and field assessments may also be a part of this exciting co-op role.

• Site characterization, remedial design, and feasibility studies

• Installation of soil borings and groundwater m monitoring wells

• Soil and groundwater sample collection

• Design and oversight of system improvement projects as well as system upgrades

• Data compilation, evaluation, and QA/QC

• Report writing, permitting, cost estimating support

• Operation and maintenance oversight for remediation systems (both water and vapor treatment systems)

• Coordination with project managers and senior engineering staff

Qualifications & Experience:
Recommended Qualifications: • Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program for Civil, Environmental Engineering, or closely related major • 40 hour OSHA Hazwopper preferred but not required • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
